i’m really not interested in any kind of rhetoric downplaying how much power pence is going to have in this government. he is going to have a lot of power. maybe not the type that generally comes with the VP job description, maybe not executive or legislative, but as the cold, chilling heart of policy, he’s what the GOP has chosen to really underpin the structure of the Trump White House, which is – to put it lightly – devastating.

I lived through Pence in Indiana and got as far away as I could, as quick as I could.
