How?

many many many indigenous cultures have historically included more than two genders and to say that those genders do not exist is to say that those cultural traditions are invalid, and that only the imperialist gender binary is correct. which is racism.

For those who don’t like Wikipedia

Wait. Wait. WAIT. Are you saying it is racist to stand by your culture which is believing there are two genders simply because your disagreeing? People have a right to believe in religious and cultural ideas as well as disagree with them. We don’t all need to agree, we just need respect. 

Completely disregarding someone’s gender doesn’t seem very respectful to me.
